This is a sub genre of music that I've been enjoying today, and I've been looking for more artists doing it. It's a fusion of classic big band / swing music, and electro house.

I just performed the "blu-tack mod" on my new headphones (Sennheiser HD-280s), upon the recommendation of a friend who owns the same pair of headphones. I could find and link to a tutorial (or even write one up), but it's very simple to do: remove the foam earcups, unscrew the fronts from the backs, and apply an even layer of Blu-Tack to the inside cup of each can.

Results? The sound doesn't have as even of a frequency response as it did before (and that's what they're designed for), but now they're more comfortable for longer periods of listening, which is how I'm using them. The mid-bass is around 25% punchier and louder, and the highs have been reduced slightly. Not a huge increase in sound quality, but for only a few bucks and 15 minutes of your time, I'd say it's completely worth it..

LUVSTEP

Loving this mix. It's a combination of dub/glitchstep with pop influences, and a good introduction to a genre that's not easy for everyone to get into.
